The Symposium aims to address a gap in architectural history studies in the modern MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. From the 20th century onward, Euro-American educational institutions have played a pivotal role in shaping the architectural landscape of the MENA region; in essence, as students from the region pursue their studies in these institutions, they assimilate the architectur...

I think the talk was quite good as an "eye-opening" on the topic of food production... however, I have doubts that were not shown, such as the energy expenditure of production and transportation as well as logistics, about which they comment, it would have been interesting to see a little more about the issue of energy expenditure and production, to be able to understand even more about the impact that food production has and also about what happens at the political level, as I mentioned, that has a socio-political impact, it would have been interesting if he had given a more concrete example... also about practical "day-to-day" examples or practices that could be adopted within cities that are within the reach of all inhabitants. ..
Fantastic talk

The medium is the massage 🙂
at about 20 min in when TH is discussing visual complexity - was the movement in modernism w/ respect to disease [TB etc] the building becoming a prophylactic to avoid illness - perhaps this anxiety heatherwick refers to in the studies (whole foods) is (our) an innate fear of being hospitalized/surgery/human as observed in clinical environ ?
This man is a demigod
Wow, what amazing technology!
Amazing project !!! Really well-thought.

I think parametricism is too expensive to become mainstream. Hadid's artistic vision made them special and now she is gone sadly.
lol yeah i love rupert but the king thing was super weird at the end
Please can someone give me an akuapem twi app for ayan
What the fuck is he wearing
The audio is so low!

Stunning ❤

Dear Rupert, talking about connections through sound and events, I would love to know your thoughts on the ongoing massacre in Gaza - what kind of morphic field is this building and how will it impact people who are on or near that land in the future, and how does it impact us through morphic fields who are so far away and apparently minimally involved?
Maybe all the issues are a result of a “bad” field that has hung over there for 3000 years. The crusades would have created plenty bad magic.
@@adamgordon-strong9055 hmm... i think the issues as they stand are more to do with a "bad field" that happened in Europe over the last 3000 years
@@mandystuart4909 i also dont belive that black magic is guilty for that war..i belive that the thing is more complicated..we as a human species arent aware of our true nature..
What “massacre” in Gaza do you mean? You mean the war on settlements of backwards stuck in dark ages violent terrorist tribes temporary occupying parts of Israel ?
It might explain how too-dense communities can echo and build up on one emotion, be it good or evil. A possible explanation for how, DNA as a fractal antennae: ua-cam.com/video/B3jf_d_TVc8/v-deo.html

Sbonge 🙌🏾
00:60 Nice one
Wasn't parametricism supposed to be the new modernism with regards to being the new dominant style only a couple of years ago? Now it apparently already needs an upgrade.

Patrik Schumacher is like Quentin Tarantino for architecture
LIKED IT
很棒!
I worked for Tony for many years at DMJM. I considered him to be a genius, he had extraordinary intellect very creative and he was way ahead of everyone else. There are many things we did in the office that were never seen outside the office that were amazing. I modeled my office and career after his leadership and I am proud to have worked closely with him. DMJM was a wonderful creative place to grow.
Orientation and navigation is not a current issue or disciplinary one.
Hi, I'm pretty agree with patrik , in terms of interconnecting roof tops and eye level visualization, also respect the sun orientation over this sophisticated façade , though I appreciation the fractale organique pattern which well studied and developed in segregate spine. To me this is one of the ambitious projects recently happens in persian gulf regions or Asian pacefique countries with less natural resource observation. I think it could be more respectful to two water reserves around if instead of high-rises there were just couples of multilevel buildings with more interconnected roof tops in relation with context of spine and urbain pattern. Hatts off for patrique and the rest which kept silence, they do not sell green for box of greens...

The experience, fabulous slides, the jury's comments, and the appreciation endorse all the hard work that went into the presentation! Congratulations, Adithya Premraj!
I was impressed with her work and thoughts. Useful and inspiring! Bravo!
It is a great idea and well-structured! Well done! It is very exciting to see young minds thinking about a better future.
Very fascinating, very interesting man! He’s really opening up minds and possibilities
Where can I get the pdf of the slides?
At about 32:37 he says that he ordered a BLT at Wendy’s, but then the audio became a little fuzzy and I missed the rest. Did be say it came with avocado or not? Can someone clarify?
Does anyone know where I can read more about Japanese "chain burning", mentioned in the very last question?
I can take over Zaha Hadid architects and run it better than this guy he’s so extra
cock and balls
Damn 2024 Patrik is so sick. Drip on point no cap
